Free To Listen is the fourth studio album from the legendary ManMadeMan, a project formed in 1994 by Sonya Bailey and Paul Baguley. As two of the original psychedelic trance pioneers, their extensive discography includes releases on prominent labels such as Flying Rhino, Matsuri, Transient, TIP.World, Flow, and Turbo Trance, among others. In their words, [...]
This really special concept album begins with a remix of, which is maybe the biggest Manmademan’s hit, Desire released on Flying Rhino in 1999, and for this exercise, the best choice of artist is probably, Turbo Trance leading artist, Triptych, recently released on Nano, Alchemy, Mind Control, TIP World! Melding a tight processed voice over [...]
Released On Flying Rhino records in 2000 this was ManMadeMans debut album. It was a departure from their normal full power style, and a surprise to many. It incorporated a wide and eclectic mix of music styles that were verging on progressive trance. This was always going to be a make or break album for [...]
Released on Elektrik Orgasm Records in May, 2004, this album saw ManMadeMan delve into a deeper and darker side of their creativity. Hard pumping grooves sit alongside minimal atmospheres to create an edgy style that steps away from the expected norms.
Featuring 9 deep and powerful tracks Creation Myth was a departure from the normally hands [...]

When detailing the musical operators within the adult trance market, then this duo falls into the respected category. Listening to the CD, it does not take long to realise that Sonya Bailey and Paul Baguley have not chosen to appeal to the lighter end of the trance spectrum. These nine hefty tunes rely on repetitive beats, complex rhythms and lots of subtle electronic effects to balance the overall production. It will not meet everyone’s tastes, but that is not intended as a criticism rather a compliment. The fourth track And All That does venture more towards the more commercialised sounds, but the string effects on a beautiful piano score at the beginning gives way to a serious beat. I have to acknowledge the next track Get Up And Beat has one of the most infectious beats that has passed my ears in ages and is tempered by the use of sweet sounding strings. The last track very suitably titled Breeze is one of those standout chilled trance moments that you wish would last forever. (Review by Philly)
Released on Transient, featuring 9 exclusive tracks ranging from the deep rolling dancefloor shaker of ‘Palladium’ to those morning after moments of ‘Breeze’.
This album will appeal to all dance enthusiasts everywhere..and is set to become a resident in every DJ’s box.
